...with Paddy writing the diary again.....
A day off at last
Our firat day off in I don't know how long! The only thing we had to do was go into Colombo to see Marion from IOM, to let her know how we had got on in the East. We had a good meeting with her, and she seemed very pleased with our efforts. We asked her if IOM could use the same scheduling as used in Ampara when Arabella and Haggis come out for their mini-Tour in June/July as it was ideal! We gave her photographs of our work in the East for her records. IOM have been great to work with, and Children's World International look forward to working with them again in the future.
Cutting down on hair
After our meeting with Marion, the rest of the day was ours. We both needed a shave, so we thought we'd have them done in a salon with cut throat razors, for a change. I decided to have a haircut, as in this heat it feels too long and is getting on my nerves. Charlie also had a haircut, which I thought was very brave, as he hasn't many hairs left (apparently its only 60,000 rupees for a transplant - he's started saving!)
Playbus broken down
Not much else to report - we're resting up to be ready for a session with Impakt at Kalutara tomorrow. Not with the Playbus though, sadly - they had it working again when we were in the East, but it appears to have broken down again.
